Surfing and Exegesis
Tony shares a surfing metaphor about exegesis that strikes a chord with me – I hear where you’re coming from bro.

Great metaphor! It’s obvious that surfers have a certain ’stoke’ about life that few people can relate to. Sadly, it’s also obvious that many Christians don’t have a similar ’stoke’ about the gospel that exegesis brings. This is probably due to the fact that the discipline of exegesis has erroneously been relegated to the work of the scholar or Pastor. A book like ‘Dig Deeper’ by Nigel Beynon & Andrew Sach is a helpful corrective to this sad state of affairs.
